Nym VPN Review

Nym can be summed up as a bunch of anarchists, misfits, and privacy academics who hired rejects from their competitors to launch a commercial product. The product named simply “Nym VPN” is currently in Beta with a commercial launch scheduled for Jan 2025. It features two modes Fast Mode and Annomoys Mode. The marketing speak calls it “More than a VPN” and they are in fact right. In reality, the VPN is a way for everyday people to use the Nym mixnet.
The Nym mixnet is the main feature of Nym VPN and offers some of the highest levels of privacy ever created. Yes, that sounds like complete bullshit but hear us out. The main thing governments and other GPA “Global Passive Advicaries” track is your metadata and this is exactly what the mixnet hides. On top of that it is a dVPN in that the nodes that are doing the packet mixing are all part of a decentral network.
You might think that payments for the Nym VPN would be a weak point for the collection of metadata around payments, however, they thought of that too. Through something called zkNyms a zero-knowledge proof is created and regardless of how you pay, credit card or crypto there is no link between your payment and your activity using the VPN. TLDR Nym doesn’t even need a no-logs policy, since they -can´t log- in the first place by design.
